The best part of the Seahawks' win wasn't the blowout
The final score doesn't really matter in a game that was over long before even halftime. What matters is the Seahawks showed something we haven't seen from them before: a killer instinct.

    I propose.....
We trade Matt Flynn, and a couple of picks to Arizona, during the offseason, for Larry Fitzgerald.....

Breadguy.... that would be a dream scenario wouldnt it? Problem is... I dont think Arizona would be up to giving the Seahawks one of the best wide recievers in the game! I propose go through the draft!

    The draft!!
With the USC connection I think Robert Woods and maybe Lee will be available for the Hawks. What a dream that combo would be for a QB.

    That is very likely...
I think the drafting of one or both of those wideouts would be a very natural fit for what Russell and this offense needs. The best part about draft Woods is that at this point we might be able to get him in the 2nd round due to his drop off this year. I believe Lee has the bigger upside but not sure if he's coming out or not. I know it won't happen but wouldn't it be perfect for Mike Wallace's speed to be paired with Russell's giant arm. That is a match made in heaven.

If the NY Giants can win the Super Bowl from a wildcard position...

My wife and I were speculating about Flynn's future and the possibility of acquiring Fitzgerald. How GNARLY would getting Fitzgerald be? Super gnarly, dude!

    Go! Seahawks!

The best part of the win was NOT the blowout? Are you kidding me? Of COURSE it was! Trying to describe what we all saw with our own eyes to me sounded something short of eloquent, Mr. Salk. That win made the whole weekend better, loaded the fan base with optimism, and put to rest a lot of ignorant nuts who think that being a fan is akin to nothing more than playing with their football-flavored, art-deco abacus. That was a stunning whirlwind of Cardinals' ineptitude; and the home team taking talent and effort to the bank. We of the NW corner of the lower 48 needed to see our team in this kind of rarified point-accumulated splendor and it was a record-setting day. Don't try to get all heady with me and tell me what I should think about this sensational game...I celebrate for good reason here.

    no ESPN coverage
I flipped through the highlight shows last night for 2 hours. Sportscenter talked about us once at the end of the show for 30 seconds. They only played 3 short clips and then proceeded to talk about Larry Fitzgerald needing a better coach. Nothing about the record breaking BLOWOUT and nothing about the turnovers. This game was incredible and you know if it had been Packers/Patriots/Giants they wouldn't have shut up about it. I watched them loop the same bits about the league darlings over and over until I turn off the tv in disgust.

    Silvanamama - Absolutely agree
ESPN is terrible at covering us... they hardly do, they're idiots. I know this station is 710ESPN but they are about the only thing ESPN is involved in with regards to the Hawks because On a Historic night, they didn't cover it... PATHETIC ESPN

What exactly makes Salk a football expert? It makes me laugh to hear or read Salk's insights. He should stick to acting in hobit movies or writing about what happened in the game. When it comes to writing insights he in no more crediable then you or I.

.....all the haters still out there. All the comments from folks about how much the Hawks suck, yet look at who we're beating. We've taken care of the Pats, the Packers, the Bears, the Vikings, the Cowboys. Should I keep going? Seriously, I think even when this city wins a Super Bowl, those dumb comments will still be out there. Here's to be hated and winning games! GO HAWKS!!!
