The best part of the Seahawks' win wasn't the blowout
The final score doesn't really matter in a game that was over long before even halftime. What matters is the Seahawks showed something we haven't seen from them before: a killer instinct.

"The Cardinals took the season of giving quite literally." Good one, Salk. Solid post. Solid writing.

I am so satisfied and relieved that the Seahawks played hard for 4 quarters on defense and OFFENSE. As a former s. florida resident and dolphin fan, I got so tired of watching the dolphins with marino and duper and clayton run up a huge halftime lead and then shula put in the prevent defense and run the ball for the whole second half. Usually the fins would hang on for a victory but instead of a satisfying win like the 49ers were getting at the same time and like the hawks got yesterday, the dolphins' victories would often almost feel like a defeat because they would lose the second half and barely hand on to the victory. I think it was bad for moral. Certainly it was bad for Marino's stats. Marino's records could have been untouchable if Shula had not been so conservative or if the dolphins defense had been worse. Way to go Hawks and Carol for following through and sticking it to whoever gets in the way.

    Whose the idiot?
Marichal, next time use "you're" (which is the contraction of you are), not "your", (which is second person possessive).

The reality is at best a wild card with an early exit, nothing more.
Pete Carroll has brought his charade to Seattle while the city overlooks his questionable ethics in hopes of having a winning franchise. It will not happen. The ESPN coverage comments are drawing laughter as the nation does not and never will give much more than a glance to the Seattle market. As long as Jim Harbaugh is coaching in the division, the Seahawks will struggle to ever make the playoffs. Mind you, Harbaugh and Carroll are cut from the same cloth. It's hard to understand the enthusiasm for beating the worst offensive team in the league.

You are a moron. Beating any team in the NFL 58-0 is plenty of cause to get excited. That just does not happen! Anyone who thinks Carroll has "questionable ethics" so what....Every NFL football coach has done questionable things and college is even worse. Anyone who cant stand Pete is just a still bitter husky fan for getting whooped so many years by USC. Get over board or get on board, pete and john have done great things for this team and Jim Harbaugh is not a saint like everyone thinks he is. He just inherited a good team and is better then the last coach.
