Can Seahawks maintain momentum against Rams?
As good as the Seahawks have been over the last month, I'm wondering if they'll play with the same fire that they had last Sunday night in their 42-13 win over the 49ers.

I'm still waiting for that TRAP GAME?!?! Smartgo2guy, yeah right, this is not college and all terms or definitions don't apply to every team and game! Your still reaching and grasping for things you don't understand....If it's anything it's comical, thanks for that anyway!

Yes they will cover, but not by much
According to certain outside sources not to be named, the Seahawks have the best home field advantage of any team in the NFL at about 11.5 points. St. Louis scores about 9.5 points, so given the 19-13 loss, we can gauge Seattle about a 3 point neutral field advantage. Actually, I think that based on the improvement of Seattle's offense (and despite St. Louis general improvement as well), there is about a 6 point neutral field advantage for Seattle. Therefore, I would expect a 17-18 point spread in this game. My prediction is a 35-17 final score. This is also predicated on if Seattle doesn't pull a lot of first-stringers off by the second half. They may do this unless a win gets them a better seed (they will know how SF and GB are doing against AZ around halftime). Keep in mind, my predictions are about as reliable as Jim Moore's - take them with a grain of salt.

and Jim it seems your there leader. No faith. We have been waiting for a long time for a team to come together. The fans have come to expect the ball to drop after many disapointing seasons. But you as a media representive seem to drive people to expect the worse. I stand behind this team in the good years and the bad. I beleive every year that this team continues to improve. Finding there way through verious methods of succeeding. Some failures are to be expected when your finding your way. I beleive because this ownership is always looking into finding a way to win. And this year it seems very likely that there current plan seems to be coming together. Pete and John have put together something special. It is peaking at the right time. The players have bought in. I see this team rolling into the playoffs and very likely into a superbowl. This Ram's team is not to be taken lightly. But just as we did preparing for the niners we will do for the Ram's. We will not drop the ball this time and we will carry our winning ways on into the playoffs. This team will prove to everyone that they are special as many are now just finding out as our bandwagon is getting full agian. Go Hawks!!

    Last game "momentum" means 0.
Remember the Sonics in the mid-90's? Mariners in 2001? Great teams (arguably the best teams of their times) that burned themselves out in the regular season, and promptly got snuffed in the Playoffs. THAT is the Seattle curse.

If San Fran is running away at the half vs Cards, then this game is meaningless. Don't be shocked if the foot comes off the pedal in the 2nd half. Seattle fans should not panic like little freaks if the Hawks lose tomorrow; it's ALL about the playoffs now. A needless injuries to key players should be feared far more at this point.

    Scoring
And when we win this game, is there a certain number of points that others want us to stop at? We don't want people to keep saying we're "running up the score" and just being a bunch of meanies. Nah.......just get out there, play your best, help Wilson to pass Manning's rookie record, and score as much as you can! GO HAWKS!!!

    What's there to worry about?
This is not the same Seahawks team that faced the Rams in week 4. Just like they handled their business against the 49ers last week they will send the Rams home early on Sunday. Just because we already have a playoff birth locked doesn't mean the 12th man will be any less of a factor than they were last week. This is more than likely the last chance they have to make their presence felt on the field and I expect them to come out roaring!

    Seahawks vs Rams
Jim, My concerns for how the Seattle Seahawks play Sunday have more to do with how they choose to counter Jeff Fisher and his staff than with how the teams played in their previous encounter. Fisher has seen tapes of the Chicago, Arizona, Buffalo, and SF games so I'm sure he's firuging out something. Fisher has shown great skill in finding ways to win. So, I'm more concerned with how the Seahawks offense counterpunches than I am with whether the players perform at a high level. There's much more to Pro football than the metrics and past performances. Will Pete Carroll and his staff show Fisher everything they can do? That's my $64 question. All the playoff opponents will be watching to see what Jeff does with this opportunity so they can plan their games accordingly. Pete Carroll may not want to show the world too much. We may see a rope-a-dope game, or at least, a conservative offensive approach resulting in less points and more pressure on the defense to contain Bradford and Jackson. And that could result in a narrow St Louis victory.

    December Record.
Expect the Seahawks to not only cover the spread but to set the NFL record for most points scored in the month of December.
