Can Seahawks maintain momentum against Rams?
As good as the Seahawks have been over the last month, I'm wondering if they'll play with the same fire that they had last Sunday night in their 42-13 win over the 49ers.

    They Will Cover The Spread........
    ...but don't expect a blowout.

It doesn't do any good and records mean nothing when you go one and out in the playoffs. The Hawks have a tough road ahead in the playoffs no matter who they play.

Expect players to get bench time to avoid potential injuries if they have a comfortable lead.

    Seahawks: 34

    Rams: 9

    I just hope...
the Rams are not the Dolphins of a few weeks ago.

Sometimes a team can feel entitled and or expected to win a "meaningless" game. They over look a team on the upcoming schedule, no matter the ramifications.

The Hawks are firing on all 12 at this point! They should have no problems with St.Louis.

But, as I have ad nauseam posted (sorry for that) teams do not play on paper. (Miami would have been creamed in that case, and Chicago should have beat the Hawks a few weeks ago).

    Focus, focus, focus!

Ignore the hype and play every team on the schedule as it unfolds!

Seattle SHOULD win this game. But, as any experienced athlete or coach will tell you, it comes down to which team comes to play.

    On any given DAY...

Will the Seahawks fall asleep at the wheel.
Like they did in Miami. I doubt it. Seahawks have found fourth gear and are rolling like a train down hill, hard to stop.

    Wow
Someone shows some temperament with what's happened over the last month, and people slam on him. Come on people. Instead of letting your prejudices show, use some logic. This is a letdown game, a trap game. National pundits were saying the same thing about the Hawks against the Cowboys, Packers, 49ers (in San Francisco), and the Bears. People didn't think that the Seahawks were worthy of being a decent opponent. Yet when someone projects caution, he's bombarded with inbred comments with minimal intelligence given to what's actually being said. Some of you people make me sick to admit that I'm from Washington. Instead of posting your anger fueled comments, try something like this: Jim, Pete Carroll won't let this be a down game. All year he has preached winning the division. Just this week he stated that the playoffs were not the Seahawks' goal, the division is. They still are not satisfied, and need to win this week. I know you were comparing Jeff Fischer's history, and how he can get his team prepared for a game, but you left out that Carroll does the same. I don't know if your goal was to show a different perspective on this game, but it came across as negative towards the Seahawks. I've read many of your articles over the years, and you have shown an unswerving loyalty to the Hawks. Admitted, you've also had tongue-in-cheek comments, which can be misconstrued as a dislike for the Hawks.

    Enough already.
Jim Moore has no confidence in the Seahawks who have managed to blow away the last three teams they have played. Again he is talking like, oh my gosh, we have to play THE RAMS. WE JUST BLEW AWAY one of the best teams in the NFL. I don't even want to read your stuff anymore. Go right for some other team. Like The Rams. You seem absolutely certain they will win. Give me a break! Yeah I read your article and you say the Seahawks will win, but your column sounds like you doubt your own words. WHATEVER.

This is clearly just a "Don't want to be a homer pick."
Five scores? The Rams are gonna get five scores off us? A team hasn't got five scores on us since New England and how many yards of total offense did the Patriots need to make that happen? The Rams got five scores off of us in their house but four of them were field goals and one was set up directly because of Pete's terrible judgement. But the Rams are gonna get two touchdowns and five total scores? At CenturyLink? That's about as likely as Arizona beating San Fran. The Rams are obviously not a bad team. But neither are the Niners and look what we did to them. We're just that good right now. 37-10 Seahawks

    For every silver lining...
...there is a cloud. What, will the team do, just "take the day off"? Maybe Pete will just play backups all day long and respect the 49er rage to win. Maybe he'll ask the team to "slow down", take it easy...Every player on the team remembers the fake field goal in St. Louis, and has vowed that it would not happen again. Each player knows that you never take your foot off the pedal, now that they have found the pedal. You underestimate our players Jim; they are in the top 1/4% in the world at their "craft." They have pride and they love to hear the hometown crowd cheer. They will do their best to duplicate last week's prformance...one play at a time.
