Even on the road, Seahawks have edge over Redskins
The Seahawks have shown they can win anywhere against anyone in any situation, even the first round of the playoffs against a dangerous quarterback.

2 key "what if's" come into play here.
    1. Seattle defense plays like it has largely been playing (or better). In this scenario, I think it's reasonable to think that The Seahawks will keep The Redskins to under 20 points. I don't think it's unreasonable to think they can keep them to 10 or maybe even less if the defense plays exceptionally well and can shut dhown RG3 and the run game.

    2. Seattle's offense plays like it did during the 3-game "blow out" phase prior to the rams game (granted, I know that many of the points during this time goes to defense playing exceptionally well too given points on turnovers and exceptional field positioning)... but... the Seahawks also showed that they could do what it takes to win despite not the best play last week against the Rams.

So it's a lot of "what if's" (as it always is with football).

I'm extremely hopeful for what the Seahawks can do - for this game - and for the remaining games moving forward in the playoffs.

I would agree that the way the team is playing right now - at least rivals the 2005 team that made it to the super bowl. It would be especially sweet to see The Seahawks bring home The Lombardi trophy.

    It's critical
that the offense has long scoring drives that keeps RG3 off the field and gives the defense a rest. The hawks will win if they can do this.

    Absolutely right!
Sustained drives against our defense could be our undoing. If we shut them down early and, more than ANYTHING, win the turnover ratio, then we will be in good shape. Also concerned about them attacking our nickel slot defenders, like Trufant. That is why we have not been good on 3rd down this year.

    Also....
They better rest tonight, tomorrow & be pumped up for Sunday!!!! The seahawks need to be prepared for anything from RGIII. This game is exciting because both teams are ridiculously good at the same time.

The closer it comes to sunday the better i feel
I dont see why we cant beat the spread in this game. Our defense is averaging 15.3 points allowed (why wont that trend continue?) and our offense has vastly improved while the redskins defense middle of the road at best. I see a Seahawks win of 27-17.

You have a short memory. Moore's been pretty spot on for most of the season and more so than a lot of the posters on here. Your comment doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

    In most road games....
...the officiating implicitly favors the home team. Good and intelligent behavior is a must, and let the Redskins get PO'd if the ball doesn't bounce for them. Also, I feel our WRs Tate, Rice and Baldwin may be due to something special, even Zack Miller! Weather shouldn't be a concern; thank God it's not Lambeau.

    Arrghh, totally forgot about that!
Yep! No stupid penalties. I'm talking about Giacomini, Hill, Browner and Chancellor more than anyone else. If we play like the adult bunch, we should be fine. But with a physical, intimidating defense, I really hope the refs aren't extra sensitive. Let us play!

    @ Jim Moore
    Careful what you wish for...

Yes RGIII is, so far, the real deal. But his Cousins... aint so bad either.

Let's just stick with the game plan and hope the real Hawks show up, no matter who finishes the game for the losing Redskins.

    Seahawks on 3.

    1

    2

    3
