Irvin is a C- at DE but could be a A+ Blitz Linebacker
Unless Bruce can bulk up to at least 255 lbs he is not going to be able to play DE and take on starting Left Tackles in the NFL. This season showed Irvin is all speed and needs to be a Blitz specialist from a linebacking position on passing downs, which is still not a bad thing. But as a DE he was over powered and tossed around more than he applied solid pressure, on occassion Irvin was able to catch an OT flat footed and was able to get 8 sacks and 1 in the playoffs, but everyone can see he is not a solution at Leo DE once Clems Hangs them up.So the search must go on.

    Weight
Irvin is listed at 248. I don't think 7lbs is going to make that much of a difference. For comparison, Clem is listed at 254...

    Weight isnt needed
Its technique and adding more moves to his pass rushing. As well as becoming a complete player

    Disagree
Weight and strength are defintely needed if he is to succeed. A good player to look at in this arguement is Miami's Cameron Wake 6'3" 258 lbs just a little heavier and stronger makes alot of diffrence.

    Clemons vs. Irvin
Its hard to believe that Clemons is only 6 pounds heavier than Irvin. Clemons is listed at 254. Irvin is listed at 248. Irvin has the potential to be 10+ sacks per year. I think its going to come down to how hard he dedicates himself. I watched an interview with J.J. Watts. Watts said that he works on all his moves everyday at practice. He said when you practice your moves everyday it just becomes second nature. You make your moves within even thinking.

Bruce Irvan came into my work today!!!
I work at a dog boarding facility. Alyssa Hackworth(Bruce's fiance) came into my work about 5 months ago to board her dog Cali, she bought a seahawks blanket for her dog that I personally made, and told me her fiance plays for the seahawks!! Today Bruce came into my work to board Cali and their newest puppy Rocko, he's to die for... Anyways its pretty cool to know that I got to talk to Bruce personally and I get to take care of his dogs until next month :D I'll be sure to have a football and sharpie ready for when he comes to pick up the puppies next month :D
