12th Man gets no respect in new NFL fan rankings
Seahawks fans are among the best in the NFL, right? Not necessarily, if you believe a new study that ranks the 12th man just 23rd best when it comes to loyalty and support.

    Seahawks Stadium
has been sold out to Season Ticket holders for years. For the past 11 years we have not had the threat of a TV Blackout like we did during the Ken Berring era during the 90s. We didn't have a winning season from 2008-2011 and still sold out every home game. Yes, Seattle as a whole is a bunch of bandwagon fans, but at the Stadium we are the best and loudest fans in the NFL!

    re: fans??
I agree with the notion that "noise" does not make a fan. Its just racket. And it's a cheat. Not a level "field" to disable one team by drowning them out - only to be whisper quiet when your team needs to hear. Not fan-dom. Just noise. On the same level as teenage girls at a Beatles concert in the 60's. Or little teenybopper girlies at a Justin Bieber concert. Just as impressive. Beller away though.

    Another example
of a bunch of "i can't get a job in the real world" college professors with a BS study. Sort of like all the college professors advising the White House on economics, foreign policy, etc. right now.

    Ridiculous
Seattle just has awesome fans in general. People in the thousands show up to sonics rallies, and they don't even exist. C Link has been the loudest stadiums in the country for 10 years now, and Husky stadium has been one of the loudest places in all of sports for decades. I remember as a small child on frigid nights down on Montlake having to wear ear plugs cause that place was going absolutely bonkers. And it's gonna be even louder in 11 days. This study is BS. Go Dawgs!!

    Historically yes
Seahawk fanbase is nothing special. I recall games in the '90s where you could run around the Kingdome and not touch another person. Yes it's been pretty much solid since 2005 but looking at all of NFL history it's pretty so-so.

How are Packers fans not in the top 4? New Orleans Saints? Seriously?

I'd rank the fans higher than 23rd
for football, but lower than that for baseball. The Mariners have the most pathetic fans in baseball. It aggrevates me to no end when more so called Red Sox "fans", Cubs "fans", or Blue Jay "fans" show up to a game than M's fans. Granted the team hasn't been very good for awhile but have a little pride in your team and stop with jumping from one team to the next.
