DUI loophole allows huffing behind the wheel
Inhaling chemicals and driving is on the rise, and prosecutors and lawmakers are racing to close a loophole in DUI laws after learning "huffing" isn't covered.

    When that loophole is closed.........
Then the kids will figure out the law does not prohibit assembling plastic car models (and the glue that goes with it) while operating a motor vehicle. A loss of physical control is still negligent/wreckless driving.Who is running the Asylum?

    Until
Until you get detained by a certain state patrol from the state (starts with a I and ends with a DAHO) when you are pulled off onto the side of the road using your albutrol inhalor. Apperently they would rather you drive with restricted airways then pull off and use your inhalor. As it was brought to my attention in handcuffs, I must have been "huffings." Good thing I have a doctors note to show the court and explain to the cops face in court. Hopefully we don't muff dive this one and actually structure the law accordingly and not a wide all encompessing law.

    While they're closing loopholes
Why don't they close the one that lets a stoned, off-duty SPD sergeant stopped for DUI and hit and run refuse a field sobriety test only to be arrested and release from custody 30 minutes later. A civilian would spend at least the rest of the night in jail.

Distracted or impaired driving is distracted or impaired driving, no matter what causes it. If you're worthy of being stopped for driving like a jackass, you're worthy of the resulting ticket. Period. And by the way, why are "lawmakers RACING" to close this loophole when you can still drive drunk and KILL someone and only get 3, 4, 5 years in jail? How 'bout closing THAT loophole, O blind/ignorant leaders?
