Adulthood at 18? Not so much. More like 24.

Most of them voted for Obama
and believe in global warming. You do the math. Then again Ron and Don think that Jimmy Carter was a great president so who knows…

They're old enough to serve and defend this nation
I think that's good enough for me.

When the voting age was lowered from 21 to 18,
my father wrote his elected officials and suggested raising the voting age to 25.

Instead, we now have Presidential elections being influenced by so-called adults whose education was mostly derived from MTV.

This country is doomed. Look around. If you can't see the societal cancer killing this formerly GREAT nation, you are either blind, or in denial.

    I'm with you Ronzilla!
Now CH on the other hand is brain dead and doesn't understand economics. He just worries about is weed or how he feels today not what's going to happen down the road and what Abamamama is doing to this country. Once his liberties and freedom sstart to go away, he will wake up and realize that may have not been a very good idea. But what can you expect from the MTV crowd, jersy shore?!?!?

    Oh my gosh.
The reason 18 was chosen was because most "kids" are out of high school at that age and are expected to get a job or go to college. Both are "adult" activities. . The problem is, is that colleges and universities are now admitting just about everybody. Many years ago there were higher academic standards but with all of the new kinds of courses and degrees (Poetry Therapy), colleges are now just highschool extentions and maturity isn't expected. . I would agree that 18 is too young to be really called an adult. I think the reason they were given the right to vote was because we started drafting them, teaching them to kill, and die for war. And to emphasize how they don't act adult, they don't vote. If they did we would have had a vote to reduce the drinking age.

By the time I was 24...
I had been around the world 4 times, I had traveled to both ends of the earth and was in charge of 24 tubes of mutually assured destruction... Was I ready? Nope not close. Did I learn? Yes. Would I do the same thing if I was 24? Not a chance, I would have been stuck in a rural town with 3 kids and no job. I know cause my path in life changed completely when I was removed from the "normal" life my friends stayed in. Do I regret it? I have at times, choosing to serve your country and not yourself can have some unexpected consequences, especially when it comes to a successful marriage and children. You don't know it then but 90% of marriages don't survive when you do certain jobs in the military - deployments are hell and you are essentially dead until you prove your back... It sucked but I don't regret it. 18 and life...

What you get out of it depends on what you put in. Obviously from your spelling and grammer you didn't put too much effort into becoming educated. Yes, it shows.

Don't get upset society is changing. Your old outdated antiquated ideals are not important anymore. Your probably part of the baby boomer generation that leached off this country for decades with no concept of the consequences and now blames GEN Y's and Millennial's for the fact your lazy arse cant retire.

    absolutely NOT!
I should not of voted until I was about 25, once you get out in the REAL world, start to participate in society and pay taxes many things look different. The youth vote got Obamamama in but I think the shine is off the messiah. Unemployment is so called 8%+, the REAL unemployment is at about 16%, youth unemployment is at about 24%, gas price have doubled, food costs are spiking, my health insurance went from $660 a month to $1,300 a month, Seattle just anounced that Seattle City light is going to raise power rates 28%, oh and one big factor, WE ARE BROKE as a nation. Running up a trillion dollar deficit per year and nobody on the democratic side seems to care. By the way, where did that money go besides Obamamama's crony's? We are split as a nation more than in my lifetime, rich against poor, black against white, unions against business so on and so forth. Welcome to the DSA, the Divided States of America! There's my rant! Obamamama has to go and let the aduclts run this country before it's too late!

Good Grief! Get over it! So done with the narcissistic brats being raised today! Go to the mall and watch 'em. My mother would have drowned me! Observe their driving habits. And, yep, they voted for Obama.
