    5,000 square feet?
The "house" is almost a mile!

Wonder if he accepts credit cards and payments. Can you put me on the 200 year loan plan?

first I'd have to fill it and then I'd have to clean it. I'll take the land and the view though :)

You're thinking linear feet, not square feet. The house would be approximately 100 feet long, by 50ft wide. Big, but not huge.

    Yes, a mile!
I understand the difference between linear and square.

However, if you walk the 100 feet, 50 times you have almost walked a mile.

So, again, the house is almost a mile!

Two things are a deal-breaker for me.
One: I got a mortgage here in the states that I can't even get a re-fi on because of my credit, and Two: I can't golf to save my soul.

    Nothing exceeds like excess
I understand that McCaw cell was bought out by ATT back in the day, but your own Island? How about a nice Condo in Belltown, and opening a shelter for abused women, neglected children and a jobs service that helps people get out of the projects, and back into neighborhoods.

    he's actually
put a lot of money into charities. (I thought it would be interesting to read up on someone who'd bought an entire island)

    No man is an island...
    But that's a darn good start... ;-)

I'm a little curious how you mow an 18 hole golf course without a gasoline engine though. 2000 of those electric robot mowers and a windmill?
