Tom Kelly: In the twos? Never thought we'd get there
Home mortgages in the twos? Unchartered territory. While 30-year, fixed-rate loans have been under four percent at several times this year, I underestimated the possibility of a lower rate with a shorter term.

    Symptom of Capitalism Failing
Due to the greed that Capitalism rewards, working people have not seen buying power increases in decades. The Capitalists solution is to extend credit, and then easy credit, and finaly "creative credit". Now, it seems they cannot get the Consumption at any interest rate. I am sure this posting will anger some Limbaugh robots... oh well.

You're missing the obvious pattern...the more we move toward the leftist dream of european socialism and the bigger the government grows the worse we the people are doing. Socialism undermines the individual for society...it's silly to then blame the system that empowers the individual for the problems. And, btw, the solution you describe is what Obama bin Lyin' has been doing, and he's a socialist, not a capitalist.

No anger...I have come to expect lack of education and awareness from liberals. They may spend lots of time in schools, but they fail to get an education. Sad waste of money...you'd be better off just going straight to that job at McDonalds without the debt for the degree.

Capitalism the last 30 years really only benefits the rich... stats bear out that everyone else is not benefitting. Liberal this or that, type what you want if Republicans got everything they wanted, working people don't benefit.. They don't. The reason people want Govt stuff is they have nothing else, the Corporations do nothing for them except use them, and the Corporations want to defer the health and retirement benefits on others....

Republican isn't the opposite of liberal, so, to an extent, I'd agree with you. I'm not a republican...if you need to categorize me I'd be a conservative with libertarian leanings...much like a good portion of the tea party...the real tea party, not the media slandered fabrication.

People want gov't stuff because most people are greedy and are happy to take something that belongs to someone else.

You say corporations don't do anything for people...that's really borne from a misunderstanding of what a corporation is and what it's function is. Most people work for corporiations...so off the top, they provide jobs. Secondly, most corporations provide goods and/or services and the clientele is again, the average person. It is true that most corporations aren't charities...we have charities to be charities, although the democrats are working to eliminate them as they compete with the government, and since they're vastly more efficient they make the government look wasteful and bad...which it is.

Have you ever worked anywhere near close to management in a corporation? Most of my working career has been. I've worked from companies so small I was the 2nd full time employee hired all the way up to fortune 500 corporations. It's silly to throw them all into one category and dismiss them. It would be the same as pointing to one evil democrat and dismissing all democrats as evil. I've worked for corporations that were owned by Christians and had charity part of the company charter, although they kept it so quiet that I doubt most employees were aware of the orphanage they supported (in India).

Honstly, the class warefare crap just needs to stop...it's old and it's all based upon lies and it makes liberals look very, very stupid when they spout it. Grow up. If you want to fix problems I'd be happy to work with anyone...leftist included. Sad to say, but most seem to want to take something instead of work for it. Liberals, in general, seem to lack a work ethic and personal morality.

During the 1980's I took over as a middle manager with a fortune 500 company. We did systems work so things were a little looser than the traditional corporate side.

I had a man working in my group that reminds me of you. Judgmental, unwilling to work with others who had a different religious/political views than he. Insufferably pompous. Lectured competent individuals about their shortcomings and failings (in his small little mind).

I politely asked him to stop, numerous times, because others in the group were not happy. Some of my hardest working individuals were liberal to a fault. Much to the left of me. The guys who would get up at 3AM with their boss to trouble shoot software issues without a peep.

About a month after I took the group, I let him go.

He threatened everything in the world. Screamed the threats as he was being accompanied out of the building by security. When the door closed I got a standing ovation.

I suspect, your boss would get the same reaction if he/she got rid of you.

    Are you able to read?

Or do you just randomly comment about things the article has nothing to do with?

I was responding to otmilkr's post, hence his name in the title line...it would appear the inability to read as well as think logically are two of your handicaps, not mine.

As for 2%...you can look at it a number of ways...but if you're incapable of sleuthing out that my previous post was a response to another poster desite the fact that the title line gave it away it seems pointless to discuss anything with you.
