Columbia Winery was founded in 1962 as Washington's first winery, by ten friends, six of whom were University of Washington professors. Columbia Winery is celebrating its 50th Anniversary of making award-winning wines. The legacy began with David Lake, Winemaker Emeritus, deemed the "Dean of Washington Winemakers" and continues with Kerry Norton, current winemaker and visionary, who continues to create exceptional wines
