Pondera is a family owned, boutique winery located in the artisan winery district of Woodinville. Winemaker, Shane Howard, started making wine in 2003 and the family launched the Pondera brand in early 2005.  The winery specializes in high quality, hand-crafted red varietals and Bordeaux style blends made from grapes sourced from six outstanding vineyards in Washington state.  Each wine is very limited with current production at less than 1600 cases annually.  The winery’s tasting room shows a rotating exhibit of fine art provided by the Howard/Mandville Gallery. The works shown are all by leading regional or nationally known artists and are available for purchase.  We invite you to visit our tasting room Friday through Sunday and for special events.
