If you haven’t already, it’s time to break out the box fan as temperatures are expected to creep into the lower 90s on Monday for some areas across the Puget Sound region.
Sea-Tac Airport got to 83 degrees on Monday. Puyallup reached 86 degrees. It was 84 degrees in Arlington, Renton, Shelton, Fort Lewis, and Boeing Field.
KIRO 7 meteorologist Nick Allard expects ocean air to move in with some clouds on Tuesday to cool things off just a bit, but temperatures will stay in the mid- to high-80s. The heat will roll back in on Wednesday with more locations in the 90s.

The Puget Sound region won’t get relief until Thursday or Friday, according to Allard, who says there’s a potential for light showers at the end of the week. The weekend is expected to be sunny with temperatures in the low- to mid-70s.
