Dori listeners got creative in showing their Halloween spirit — and their feelings about the Puget Sound — in the first-ever Dori Monson Show Pumpkin Carving Contest.
The challenge was to carve a pumpkin with an image that best represents Seattle. And from Sasquatch to Seahawks, it’s clear that Seattle means many different things to different people — though several jack-o-lanterns held a common theme.
Alan Goerner’s “Ballard Junk-o-Lantern,” as he calls it, took first place in this year’s contest, scoring Goerner a giant 12th Man flag and two tickets to the Taste of the Seahawks event.
Missed your chance to carve a Puget Sound pumpkin? Never fear — save up your ideas for next year’s Dori Monson Show Pumpkin Carving Contest.
