Crews working on the East Link light rail line will shut down portions of I-90 in Bellevue over the coming week. It began with a full closure of westbound traffic Monday night.
Sound Transit is shutting down portions of I-90 for crews to remove a crane that has been constructing the light rail bridge over the freeway. In order to do that, traffic needs to be halted. Crews will also take advantage of the closure to get additional work on the bridge done.
