Seattle Fire responds to Rainier Ave S gas leak, homes evacuated

Seattle Fire Department responders were on scene at a reported natural gas leak in a home in the 10300 block of Rainier Avenue South.
Nearby homes in the 10300 and some of the 10400 block were evacuated “as a precaution.” Puget Sound Energy was on scene as well.
The gas leak was resolved close to 11 a.m., when Seattle Fire began to demobilize units in the area. There were no reported injuries.
