Amber Alert cancelled: 5-year-old missing boy in Spokane

The Washington State Patrol has canceled an Amber Alert issued Tuesday morning.

An Amber Alert was issued for missing 5-year-old Ethan Robertson in Spokane earlier Tuesday morning.

Ethan was reportedly taken by Justin Robertson. According to the alert, Robertson is the estranged husband of Ethan’s mother. He allegedly stabbed her, took Ethan, and then left the residence “in an unknown direction.”

Robertson was located in St. John, Washington. SWAT and negotiators secured the release of Ethan, who was not injured.

Currently, officers are working to get Robertson to surrender peacefully. According to the alert, he has access to weapons, but it was not known whether he has any in his possession.

The alert was expanded to include Oregon.
