Everett/Edmonds high speed chase: 2 in custody, including homicide suspect

Two suspects have been taken into custody in Edmonds after a high speed chase out of Everett Tuesday, causing several collisions along the way.
Everett police report that one person in custody is a suspect in an ongoing murder investigation out of Yakima. Multiple agencies responded to the chase, and even laid down road spikes, but were unable to stop the vehicle until around 5 p.m.
A white, four-door Acura came to a stop in the parking lot of a WinCo Foods. There is a heavy police presence on Highway 99 near 22oth Street SW in Edmonds. Some roads in the area have been closed while an investigation continues.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.

According to KIRO 7’s Joanna Small, one suspect is Hector Salvador Garcia-Ceja Jr., 24, who is wanted for murder in Yakima.
According to the Yakima Herald, arrest warrants were issued for three men, including Garcia-Ceja Jr., who were charged with the murder of a 44-year-old Granger man. The homicide is possibly related to a drug deal gone bad. The three men are from the Everett and Marysville area. The Herald further reports that they are “Sureño gang members with ties to Yakima and Everett.”
