Within hours of Friday’s fatal Central District shooting, two more, separate shootings in Seattle sent two men to the hospital.

The first shooting in the Central District occurred around 3:15 p.m. Friday. A 19-year-old man died, two others were injured. On Saturday morning, Seattle police reported that two more shootings happened over the evening. None of the three incidents have been reportedly connected to each other.

At 11:15 p.m., officers responded to an incident at the intersection of 46th Avenue South and South Eddy Street, in the Seward Park neighborhood. Victims told police that they noticed a gray van and blue car slowly following them as they walked through the neighborhood. Then, people from inside both vehicles began shooting at them. One of the victims pulled out a firearm and fired back at the vehicles before they drove away.

At midnight, about 45 minutes later, police responded to another shooting in the Central District, in the 2700 block of South Jackson Street.

An unknown person, or a group of people, began firing upon another group as they were playing cards and cooking.

One man was struck multiple times. He was sent to Harborview Medical Center.

Seattle police are asking anyone with information about the shootings to call 206-233-5000.
