The Navigation Team is being allowed to more quickly clear dangerous encampments plaguing neighborhoods in Seattle. Kudos to the team on the work they do to address Seattle homelessness, and to Mayor Jenny Durkan for finally stepping up to allow it.
This move, however, will be deemed controversial by a City Council working hard to stop the Navigation Team.

As they complain about the sweeps, it’s important to know what homelessness is doing to our neighborhoods. Here is the impact Seattle homelessness (and the opioid epidemic) is having on neighborhoods, as told through Seattleites providing photos through the city’s Find It, Fix It app over the course of the last year and a half.
