Lockdown lifted at Snohomish High School

Snohomish High School went into lockdown Wednesday morning following reports of a person carrying a gun on or near the school.
The Snohomish School District announced the lockdown on social media 7:40 a.m. Wednesday stating that police have reportedwere alerted to an individual on campus or near the school with a gun in his or her pants. The lockdown was lifted at 8:40 a.m. All school activities are expected to proceed as scheduled.
The initial report of a gun was made anonymously to 9-1-1, of a man with a gun on campus, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies searched the area with a K9 unit and did not find a gun.
No suspect or gun was located by deputies. No other schools in the district were placed on lockdown.
