Seattle police arrest 12 people for drugs, one for brandishing cleaver

Seattle police conducted a drug emphasis patrol along 3rd Avenue and turned up quite a bit of drugs Tuesday. Officers from the West Precinct concentrated on 3rd near Yesler Way and Pike Street and arrested 12 people for drug offenses and warrants.
Police recovered crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin, seized more than $1,000, and impounded a vehicle associated with one of the drug arrests, according to the SPD Blotter.

A few bicycle officers also apprehended a man near 2nd Avenue and Pike who was going after pedestrians with a meat cleaver and a stick, though no one was injured. The man was later booked into King County Jail on two counts of felony assault.
In Moses Lake recently, two federal agents were injured during a drug bust. The injuries occurred Tuesday morning during a raid targeting the trafficking of methamphetamine and heroin in Easter Washington. The two agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives did not receive life-threatening injuries, and are expected to be released from the hospital soon.
