2 dead, 3 others injured in Tacoma shooting

Two men were killed and three women were injured in a shooting late Tuesday night in Tacoma.
Police were called to reports of gunshots in the 2100 block of East 38th Street and East Roosevelt Avenue around 11:40 p.m.
Responding officers found a man with gunshot wounds, who was rendered aid by the Tacoma Fire Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers later learned that three women and another man had also been shot and went to the hospital on their own. The man died at the hospital, and the three women were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
KIRO 7 TV’s Ranji Sinha reports that the two men killed in the shooting were 19 and 26 years old. The three women injured were 16, 17, and 34 years old.

Police are still investigating what happened. It is not clear if any suspects are outstanding.
