Appreciation for Suzanne Monson

Hi Dori. We really enjoyed your show last Friday night in Federal Way. After my wife and I got our picture taken with you, we got to meet your wife Suzanne. Suzanne and I both worked at The Seattle Times around the same time, so it was nice comparing notes. She was such a pleasure to talk to and was so sweet. Thanks for a great time.

Not all Leftists are extreme

Golly. Why can’t you simply talk about the “extreme parents” who brainwash their kids into being terrified? Why do you have to say the “extreme Leftists” in practically the same sentence? Please stick with talking about the stupid parents. You sound like Trump, who often starts his speech with, “The Democrats this” and, “The Democrats that.” I would tell him the same thing. You both sound immature.

March of hypocrisy

Dori, I notice the children marching against global warming were carrying signs. What were those signs made out of? Paper that comes from the trees that filter the air we breath, or plastic that comes from petroleum? They probably got to the march in combustion vehicles. It just shows that they don’t know what they are doing.

Thank you for your coverage

Hi Dori, I appreciated the information today on the show regarding Greta Thunberg’s talk at the U.N. What I appreciated most about your coverage was giving us BOTH sides of the story.

Cliff Mass is a national treasure, in my opinion. The point he made about the NRDC is valid for any organization that tries to misinterpret science (or blatantly make it up) for political purposes. That includes conservative groups, too. We should strive for the truth. Everything else is a waste of time. As Cliff Mass said, we have a real global warming event going on that will affect humans and other animals going forward. There is a human component, no doubt. There may be some things we humans can do to mitigate warming. And, as you have said so many times, we humans will adapt. But it does no one any good to use fear and falsehood to achieve some Utopian end. Right now, our children are scared. I would be scared, too, from what is being taught in our schools today. It’s almost as if the children are being blamed for being born. How did we go from the great technological advancements that saved life and extended life to being a pariah of Earth? This strikes me as a Children’s Crusade.

Stop defending Trump

I can understand why you might rant against the extreme Left, but how can you possibly defend our current president? The man lies continuously, yet you never call him out. He denigrates the press, which is the first to go in a fascist regime. You are enabling someone who does not give a care for anyone other than himself and his pocketbook.

– Greg in Seattle

Trump is going down, big time. He is corrupt to the core, and more and more is being exposed every day. He doesn’t want a democracy, he wants to be king. In fact, he does everything within his power to disrupt and destroy our great democracy.

– Diane in Tacoma

The hypocrisy regarding this current political scandal is mind-blowing. If former President Obama did one quarter of what Trump has done, the Republicans would be just as committed to making him accountable. Many Republicans hated Obama, too; it goes both ways.

How can Sound Transit get away with its crimes?

Dori, it’s always a pleasure listening to your show. I’ve only been in Washington for a few years (I work near Tacoma and live near Bonney Lake), but I have seen this area change so drastically in the past five years — from poor leadership in almost all levels of Seattle government, to the ridiculous policies on homelessness, to the out-of-control drug use, to the pathetic attempts to take more money from the taxpaying people, to the complete and utter disrespect for our police officers, to the biggest joke of all, Jay Inslee. But I do have a question that I feel only you could have the answer to. Why, why, why is Sound Transit still able to operate and to not be held accountable when there is so much factual evidence of how criminally corrupt and dangerous they are? When will and what will it take for the people of this great state to open their eyes and finally see what’s really going on? I mean, I’ve only been here a few years, and I can see it. Keep fighting the good fight, Dori! You are not alone.

A Dori mystery

Hi Dori, I’m a long, long longtime listener. I would like to know the building you are sitting in front of (the one on your Dori Monson Show Facebook page). It appears to have lots of granite, some short granite columns, as well as some spheres/globes wrapped with straps of mild steel. Honestly, I would love to know the location. Thanks,

First vaping lawsuit filed in Washington

Dori this has nothing to do with cannabis; I know you know this. This has everything to do with the base that they’re using in the vaping juice. Cannabis does not kill, and that lawyer has obviously never smoked cannabis a day in his life. I’m the “how high is too high to drive” girl; four years ago, I did a video with KIRO 7 TV and the Washington State Patrol to prove how high is too high to drive. If anybody should be able to weigh in on this subject, it’s me, and I feel really passionate about this.
