Dori: Second suspect in Auburn murder an illegal immigrant

Jay Inslee, Dow Constantine, Jenny Durkan, Bob Ferguson, and Mitzi Johanknecht once again have blood on their hands after the recent Auburn murder.

We broke the story last week that in each of two separate murders of teens — one in Bellevue and one in Auburn — a suspect arrested for the crime is in the country illegally.

We can now confirmation that a second suspect in the Auburn murder — the one in which a 16-year-old child was found in the Green River — is an illegal immigrant. We can assume from this suspect’s criminal history that, like the Bellevue murder, this was gang-related.

According to ICE, Rudy Osvaldo Garcia-Hernandez is a citizen of El Salvador and entered the U.S. illegally. He has a long list of priors.

Dori: Blood on sanctuary politicians’ hands in Auburn, Bellevue murders

In 2015, he was arrested for gang-related activities. That was in California, near San Francisco, which also has sanctuary policies, so he was released from jail without going into ICE custody.

Just days later, he was arrested for brandishing a machete. He was also released.

Several months after that, he was arrested for larceny and forgery, but was again released.

If the West Coast was a region where we had any common sense whatsoever, if someone was in this country illegally, and then committed serious crimes, we would send them home.

In September 2015, a warrant was issued because Garcia-Hernandez did not appear for a court date. According to ICE, the warrant “included a warning for violent tendencies, that he was armed and dangerous, known to abuse drugs, and known to carry weapons – to brandish a machete at a victim to intimidate.”

Now he has been arrested for the murder of a 16-year-old whose body was found in the Green River.

So once again, just as surely as this guy allegedly killed that child … so did Jay Inslee and Dow Constantine.

These are preventable crimes. If you would simply work with federal law enforcement when an illegal immigrant commits a serious crime, ICE could begin deportation proceedings. But instead, we would rather sacrifice the life of a 16-year-old than crack down on illegal immigration.

Jay, Dow, Mitzi, do you look in the mirror and think about the consequences of your policies? Have you seen the photos of that 16-year-old who was murdered? Do you realize that that killing could have been prevented, if not for sanctuary?

Does it bother you at all?
