Two people are being treated after being shot in a home invasion and robbery Saturday night in Tacoma, police said.

At about 8:56 p.m., the victims living at the Waterfall Apartments located in the 1700 block of South 84th Street called in the home invasion, police said.

According to police, the victims told officers two armed men entered their apartment and shot them. It’s not clear how the men got inside.

Tacoma Police Department spokeswoman Loretta Cool said a man and a woman suffered gunshot wounds to the legs and were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center. The woman was hit in her right leg.

Police are still looking for the alleged shooters and said one man was wearing a mask, dark hoodie and jeans. He was about 5 feet, 6 inches tall. The other man was wearing a sweatshirt and his head was shaved on the sides. He had a heavy build.

Police did not provide any additional information about the assailants but said they are searching for them.

Police did not say if the victims and suspects knew each other.

Officials said on Sunday that a large amount of high end shoes were taken.
