It doesn’t get more vile than this: a local business woman mocked the death of a nine year old girl and her father just to make a wholly unrelated anti-Trump statement. And Twitter users rightly dragged her.

Now, she is in digital hiding, pulling her Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts and not responding to requests for comment.

Lana Kiossovski is the business partner behind Saint John’s Bar and Eatery in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. While her Twitter account listed her as a “humanitarian,” she caught the attention of Twitter users across the country for a Tweet she allegedly sent on January 3 that epitomizes depravity.

NBC News Tweeted out a shocking and tragic story of a 9-year-old girl and her father killed after being mistaken for deer while out on a hunt near Waltersboro, South Carolina.

While most responded to the tweet with normal commentary you expect on Twitter, an account (@lana_palooza29) belonging to Kiossovski wrote: “1.5 less MAGAbilly’s in the world. At least they died supporting their beloved 2nd Amendment.”

There’s no indication the family supports President Donald Trump and nothing in the story mentioned politics at all.

In a social media world where it’s easy to find vile responses to pretty much any story, this Tweet rose to the top for it’s particular bad-faith nastiness. What kind of monster mocks the death of a little girl?

The Tweet was deleted at some point but people had already begun to dig into other deranged, vulgar musings posted to the account.

One Tweet, apparently angry that Trump ordered the targeted strike against an Iranian terrorist responsible for the deaths of hundreds of US troops, encouraged the Iranian government to “retaliate and take this mother out.” According to another screenshot, she also mused, “I’m sure said terrorists can find [Trump] at any number of his golf resorts.” And it’s not just Tweets decrying Trump that got some reaction. She also called Rep. Tulsi Gabbard the c-word.

Scores of users showed screenshots of their reports to Twitter for violating terms of service.

Users started to figure out who they believed the account belonged to. Then some started to dox Kiossovski’s personal information and the businesses she’s involved in. She appears to have reacted by going into digital hiding. Not only have her personal accounts been taken down, so too was the bar’s Facebook page.

While I think doxxing is wrong (her home address and phone number should be off-limits), I do think it’s kosher to call her out for being a garbage human being. And choosing not to contribute to a business that adds to her wealth is appropriate.

I don’t believe in boycotting businesses for political positions — regrettably, that’s a position Progressives take. Sure, her close-minded political views triggered this reaction, but this Tweet very clearly transcends a political view. This is about an utter lack of humanity, so deranged in an anti-Trump view, that anyone who hunts or lives in the south is somehow a “MAGAbilly”? And to extend that derangement to a 9-year-old girl? This is simply despicable.

I keep hoping she’ll come out and say she was hacked or someone else wrote the Tweet. Literally anything. Can someone truly be this despicable? But turning off all your social media and ignoring phone calls or emails seeking comment may likely mean she’s keeping her head down not because she feels shame, but because she wants to pretend it didn’t happen so she doesn’t get dragged. I won’t oblige.

UPDATE: Business owner Val Kiossovski emailed the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH confirming the tweet was sent by Lana, his wife. He also sought to clarify that Lana is not involved in the ownership except through proxy as her husband. The “About Us” section on the website that lists her as a business partner was taken down before his email. The Puget Sound Business Journal lists her as a business partner. He says he’s received a number of threats from Twitter users as a result of the tweets doxxing her. I explained to him as I said in this story: doxxing should be off-limits. I encouraged him to report any threats to law enforcement.

UPDATE #2: Val Kiossovski also says in an email that he and his business partner do not condone the tweet. “ It doesn’t represent our way of thinking, values, or practices, and any implied notion that this is not so is just a misrepresentation of facts.” He declined the opportunity to discuss the incident on the show.
