The snow and ice can sometimes make things difficult for those commuting to and from work, especially if you’re a Seattle thief.

Police responded to a burglar alarm early Monday morning at a theater in the University District. After finding that a door had been pried open, they began searching the multiplex and noticed a damaged safe, reports the SPD Blotter.

At that point they spotted a man in a green ski mask darting out of the lobby toward 9th. He didn’t have any popcorn or Juicyfruits in his hands, but was instead trying to get away with thousands in cash.

And he would have if not for a patch of snow and ice that caused him to slip and drop thousands in cash on the ground like a thief in a cartoon. Some officers stayed around to corral the cash and others chased the thief across the street, quickly catching up to him.
