Police issued an Amber Alert for Melody Lopez.

UPDATE: An Amber Alert was canceled Tuesday night. Police say a missing 3-year-old girl was found safe and the suspect is in custody.

Melody Lopez is described as Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. She’s 2 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 40 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white red striped shirt with grey leggings.

She may be traveling with her father, who police say is suicidal. Jose Lopez-Madrigal, 32, is described as Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. He’s 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has a mustache and was last seen wearing a grey or black baseball cap.

Originally, police said the pair may have been traveling in a blue 1999 Honda Odyssey with Washington license plate ANH1733. However, police recovered the vehicle. The young girl and her father are still outstanding as of early Tuesday morning.
