Witness reports led police to a gruesome discovery in Lake Union Sunday morning.
According to Seattle Police, calls started coming in sometime before 11 a.m.
“We started receiving calls that people had spotted an arm floating Lake Union,” said Seattle Police Detective Patrick Michaud.
The body was recovered a short time later in the south end of the lake.
“We sent some of our harbor unit boats out there and they were able to locate and recover the body that they had spotted in the water,” said Michaud.
The body was turned over to the medical examiner and details, including the victim’s gender, have not yet been released.
