Check the current traffic conditions

An overturned semi-truck carrying cement blocked all lanes of southbound I-5 just south of SR 529 in Everett shortly before 9 a.m., but the truck has been moved off the road and traffic is flowing again.

The Washington State Department of Transportation said crews up-righted the truck around 10 a.m. but an 8-mile backup followed.

KIRO Radio traffic reporter Danielle Knight said that backup got even worse late Monday morning. Five more crashes were reported in the long line of cars.

The WSDOT initially reported the incident as only blocking the two right lanes. In order to upright the truck however, crews blocked all lanes of traffic.
