Gov. Inslee on Friday slammed President Trump for caring more about dead Confederates than living Americans.
He told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that “his failure of leadership is not just being AWOL — absent without leave — he’s actually trying to sabotage the things we are trying to do in our states to try to arrest this pandemic. He’s trying to take away health care from hundreds of thousands of people under Obamacare in my state, he’s trying to sabotage our effort to have people wear masks, which we know right now is the single most effective technique we have.”
“It’s maddening,” the governor said.

Inslee said the president not only ignores the science and won’t listen to the people who know what they’re talking about, but he’s twisting facts. And it’s costing American lives.
The governor said the reason testing for coronavirus is going up is because more people are showing symptoms. He added that the positivity rate is too high in many areas, including in some counties within Washington state.
“This is infuriating,” Inslee said. “We’re fighting. We’re fighting every day to try to save lives in my state. And to have the President of the United States effectively tell people in my state that they shouldn’t wear masks, that they don’t work? This is infuriating.”
