In the Primary results, incumbent Davidson pulled in 47% of the vote, while Pellicciotti had 53%. The position of state treasurer has a four-year term.
Davidson has been in the state treasurer role since 2016, and was Benton County Treasurer from 2003-2016. Pellicciotti’s experience, as written in his candidate statement, comes from his time serving as a Washington State Representative and as a member of the House Capital Budget Committee.
The League of Women Voters of Washington is hosting a number of debates for statewide positions leading up to Election Day on Nov. 3, 2020. The candidates for treasurer participated in a forum on Sept. 17, aired and recorded live by Northwest Public Broadcasting.
The full video of the debate is available to watch below, or online here.
Kim Wyman and Gael Tarleton, the two candidates on the November ballot for Secretary of State, also took part in a debate hosted by the LWVWA, which is available here.
