Two-legged Washington dog’s beach run goes viral

A Washington dog’s first trip to the beach is getting lots of attention.
Panda Paws Rescue, a special needs canine rescue group in Vancouver, Wash., posted the video of Duncan Lou Who, whose beach run was pretty remarkable, considering he only has two legs.
Duncan, a nine month old Boxer, was born with severely deformed rear legs that had to be removed. He’s had custom wheelchairs in the past, but the rescue group says he doesn’t like them.
“So we let him be free and just walk on his two legs,” they say in the description of the video.
Duncan really got to test his freedom in his first-ever wide open beach run captured on video by the folks at Panda Paws Rescue. The video already has over 1 million views on YouTube.
“We try each day to remember that the next isn’t guaranteed with him,” says Panda Paws Rescue, who acknowledge Duncan has quite a few medical issues and physical abnormalities. “Quality of life is far more important to us than quantity and we are hopeful that he will keep pressing on with the same determination that he’s shown for the years to come!”
