Boats catch fire at yacht club on Vashon Island

VASHON ISLAND, Wash. — Three boats caught fire at a yacht club on Vashon Island early Monday.
It happened at the Quartermaster Yacht Club at 23428 Vashon Highway Southwest.
Firefighters were called out at 4:13 a.m. after several explosions were reported to have erupted on a boat.
That boat caught fire, then the fire spread to two other vessels.
One boat rolled over and sank while firefighters were working to put out the flames.
There may be damage to the dock.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
