Police investigating explosion at Everett apartment building

Police are investigating after an explosion at an apartment building in Everett on Tuesday night.
Residents at the Monte Cristo Apartments said they heard a loud boom just before 10 p.m. Everett police said the bomb squad responded and is investigating the incident.
The explosion appears to have come from outside the building.
A woman who lives across the street was out walking her dog when it happened, and told KIRO 7 TV that it appeared to have come from a dumpster.
BREAKING: A late night explosion in #Everett is now under investigation.
Police haven’t yet determined a source, but neighbors think the blast came form a dumpster in the alley next to the Monte Cristo Apts.

Police haven’t yet determined a cause, but said they’re looking into a suspicious van leaving the area at the time of the blast.
