A brush fire burning between Cashmere and Wenatchee has prompted Level 2 and 3 evacuation notices and is threatening about 200 homes.

Why Puget Sound likely won’t see wildfire smoke this week

The fire burning broke out in the 3300 block of Red Apple Road around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Washington Emergency Management Division said the Red Apple Fire has burned 1,000 acres and it’s growing, burning grass and sage.

These are the current evacuation notices as of 11:25 p.m. Tuesday:

Level 3 (Leave now): West Eagle Rock Drive, May Lane, Anna Lane, North Ridge Drive, Sequoia Lane, and April Lane

Level 2 (Get ready to leave): Rue Jolie down to American Fruit Road and over to School Street

Chelan County Emergency Management said the Red Cross set up a shelter at the 7th Day Adventist Church in Wenatchee, located at 508 North Western Avenue.
