Cancelled, on-schedule New Year’s Eve events in Seattle

Amid a spike in omicron-variant COVID-19 cases in King County that has left some public health officials again recommending that people stay home for the holiday, a number of Seattle New Year’s Eve parties, concerts, and events have been cancelled to close out 2021.
New Year’s Eve casualties of the pandemic:
- Recently relocated and renovated The Crocodile’s “New Year’s Eve Freakout”
- WaMu Theatre’s “Abduction” event
- The Downtown Showbox’s New Year’s Eve concert
- Chong the Nomad at The Tractor Tavern
- Viennese New Year at The Seattle Symphony (Performances on Dec. 30 and Jan. 2 will proceed as scheduled.)
- Shiba San at Q Nightclub
Seattle concerts and events that are still scheduled:
- The Space Needle’s firework display (remote watching is encouraged)
- Allen Stone at The Moore Theatre
- Polyrhythmics at The Neptune Theatre
- Patton Oswalt at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall
- Dave Chappelle at Climate Pledge Arena
- DJ Riz Rollins at Life on Mars
- Neumos and Barboza’s New Year’s Eve Party
