2 injured, 13 displaced after fire breaks out at Tacoma apartment building

Two people were injured after a fire broke out at an apartment building in Tacoma early Saturday morning.

Crews arrived at the scene in the 1200 block of North Pearl Street around 3 a.m. and saw flames and smoke spreading across the second floor of the three-story apartment building.

Woman arrested for string of arsons in Tacoma

The fire eventually spread to the third floor of the building before crews were able to get it under control.

Two people were injured as a result of the fire and were transported in stable condition to a local hospital.

Three apartment units were destroyed in the fire, displacing 13 people from their homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
