Everett’s Paine Field will soon offer four daily flights to the San Juan Islands.

Kenmore Air announced Monday that the airline is now accepting reservations for flights beginning July 14.

Each roundtrip flight will depart Paine Field for Friday Harbor Airport on San Juan Island. The flight continues to Orcas Island Airport in Eastsound before returning to Paine Field.

Nine-passenger Cessna Caravan aircraft will make the roundtrip flights to Orcas Island and back.

“Transportation modes to the San Juans have become more restricted and less reliable in recent months, leaving many people looking for a way to spend more of their free time enjoying the islands and less time getting there,” wrote Kenmore Air COO David Gudgel in a news release.

“This service is another opportunity for Kenmore to safely and conveniently connect the people and businesses in our region.”

The leg from Everett to the San Juans Islands takes an expected 25 minutes. Kenmore Air offers a flat rate of $189 for the new service.
