NEW MUSIC VIDEO: The Spider Ferns – “In Violet Bloom”

Local duo The Spider Ferns enlisted John Theroux of CTPAK Film Crew and merged their creative talents to produce an absolutely mesmerizing video accompaniment for their song “In Violet Bloom”, the first official video from the duo’s 2016 EP, Safety.
Lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Kelly Fleek says of the track, “In Violet Bloom is a war cry, disguised as a lulliby for our current human condition. We reached out to John because he is a brilliant VJ that is frequently part of our live shows… he understands the deeper message of the track and we knew he would create beautifully flowing abstractions that would perfectly express our desire to use meditative imagery, allowing the viewer space to absorb and process lyrical meaning: inviting the viewer/listener rather than forcing our message. This song is a profoundly relevant, beautiful call to action with an emphasis on compassion and the power of individual voices to exact change. We wanted an affecting, powerful, yet gentle space for the song to reside.”
