In a story published October 12, 2022, about how to change Medicare plans, The Associated Press — in an article supplied by the personal finance website NerdWallet — erroneously reported that members switching from Original Medicare to Medicare Advantage need to disenroll from any Part D prescription drug plan they may have. Members who switch are not required to disenroll from a Part D plan.
