DENVER (AP) — In a story published August 12, 2023, about political extremism, The Associated Press erroneously reported Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer had warned in 2022 that the GOP-appointed Supreme Court majority had “released the whirlwind” and “will pay the price” with its ruling overturning Roe v. Wade. Schumer made the remarks at a rally outside the Supreme Court in March 2020, before the court made the ruling.
