“Those high school years were impactful,” KIRO Newsradio’s Ursula Reutin said after she celebrated her 40-year class reunion in Eugene, Oregon. She recommends attending, even if your high school experience wasn’t optimal.

“It’s kind of like an opportunity to reclaim those memories, the good and the bad,” she added.

After dealing with several health issues this past year, Ursula said for the first time, she has really been thinking about the passage of time. That’s why going to her reunion was more important than any of the previous events.

“It is a privilege to be 58 years old, and it’s one that’s not afforded to everyone.”

Gee wanted to learn more about her experience staying at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Eugene and the free breakfast. He gave her grief about staying there instead of a fancier hotel.

Ursula defended her lodging choice. “It was clean and nice,” she said. “There were no bedbugs. And even the eggs were pretty good.”

Listen to Gee Scott and Ursula Reutin weekday mornings from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on KIRO Newsradio, 97.3 FM. Subscribe to the podcast here.
