Jimmy Fallon pokes fun at Archbishop Murphy on the ‘Tonight Show’

Jimmy Fallon has poked fun at the Seahawks in his ‘Superlatives’ segment in the past and on Tuesday night went after Archbishop Murphy High School during his “Tonight Show” monologue.
Huard: If you want to forfeit, don’t play football
Fallon mentions a high school football team in Washington state that has won its last three games by a combined 170-0 and that the players are “pretty psyched.” He then put up photos of two young players, the first saying “It’s been an amazing season – and I hope to keep it up” and another quoted as saying, “It’s been an amazing run. It feels like we’re unbeatable.” Then he quotes the team’s “quarterback” who looks an awful lot like a Seahawks nemesis (and “Deflategate perpetrator) wearing a fake mustache saying, “Sorry guys, but I had to go back to my regular team.” The clip starts at about 4:30.
Fallon didn’t specifically mention Archbishop Murphy by name, nor did he talk about how the team isn’t actually psyched at how their season has transpired, as a fifth straight team announced Wednesday that it would forfeit rather than play the Everett school. The teams that have forfeited have cited player safety against the bigger, stronger Archbishop team as their rationales.
