THIS WEEKEND: #NadaFest 2016

Oct 19, 2016, 1:17 PM | Updated: 1:39 pm

If you’re a fan of dark clubs, loud music and cold beer; then boy oh boy, do I have something you will absolutely LOVE. On the heels of its widely unsuccessful #41for2015Fest last year, NadaMucho.com announced that is not having a music festival this coming Oct. 21-23 at Substation in Freelard.

#NadaFest will be host to a motley crew of up and coming local bands that you may not have heard about. Says publisher Matt Ashworth of #NadaFest, “I like to think that for people that really, really care about music, this is a great opportunity to go…and really see some cool bands that you’re gonna hear a lot more about in town over the next coming few years.”

“This is not some community-minded hippie love gathering or any of that,” added publisher Matt Ashworth. “We’re not going to have changing tables or recycling bins or any of that shit. Just three days of the best new bands in Seattle bashing it out in a good old fashioned dirty rock club… a rock club with good sound and cold drinks.”

Substation and NadaMucho.com are not taking any house or promoter fees for this performance; 100% of door sales will be split evenly between bands.

Tickets are $10 each night at the door.

I had a chat with Matt Ashworth all about #NadaFest; listen below:

NEW MUSIC: Charlie and The Rays release debut album

Charlie and the Rays' debut album is a sprawling pastiche of roots rock and pop. The self-titled album is a gem awash with vocal harmonies, hand claps, wailing guitar licks, and deep swells of emotion.
