A Yakima radio station is hurling past the pumpkins and leaping over the Thanksgiving dinner table by playing Christmas music early.
As in, now.
Ken Moultrie, a former Seattle and Portland radio guy, is behind what he says is “likely the very first flip to all-Christmas on radio for 2012.”
The all-Christmas music “North Pole Radio” launched yesterday at 5:00 p.m. online and its being carried on KYXE-FM in Yakima.
Moultrie says, “Consider it an early Christmas present for Yakima. The format has proven success with a unique mix of the best contemporary and classic Christmas songs with some surprises along the way.”
One question, two words. Too soon?
