Seattle police are looking into a series of photos on a fetish website that appear to be taken at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery at night, without permission.
Screen grab of an image posted on a fetish website that depicts a nude woman hanging from a cannon at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery.
The photos are credited to Seattle-based photographer Patrick Andraste, who describes himself as a “sometimes photographer of pretty shiny things.” He has a disclaimer on his website that it’s “most likely Not Safe for Work.” True.
Cemetery management was tipped off to the photos by veterans and users of some of the sites where the photos turned up. KING 5 has more photos.
Evergreen Washelli Cemetery originated in 1885. It’s located on both sides of Aurora Avenue, and occupies roughly 144 acres making it the largest cemetery in Seattle.
The Veterans Memorial Cemetery was started in 1927, and contains over 5,000 white marble headstones. It also hosts two corianders from the frigate USS Constitution, known as “Old Ironsides.”
Andraste has not responded to my request for an interview.
