On March 7, surveillance cameras captured a man following a 23-year-old woman into her apartment complex on Elliott Avenue.

Police said as she approached her apartment, the suspect grabbed her from behind and the woman screamed. A resident opened their unit door and the suspect fled.

The victim described the suspect as a white man, 6 feet tall, 25 to 30 years old, with blonde hair, green eyes, wearing a black jacket and gray jeans.

On April 17, another woman was walking home when a man grabbed her and threw her to the ground in the 1000 block of East Terrace Street.

Police said the woman fought by scratching him, grabbing his throat and jabbing his eyes.

Two women then drove up to the victim to ask if she was alright. She got into their vehicle to call 911 and the suspect fled.

Police developed a sketch of the man, who is described as 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches, with blonde or strawberry blonde hair, a patchy beard, wearing a black jacket, gray jeans and dark sunglasses.

Detectives are investigating whether the two attacks may be related due to the similar descriptions of the suspect.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call 206-684-5575.
